Understand the role of:

  • YouTube Channels
  • Live stream 
  • Instagram stories
  • Other video options
In branding, outreach and influencer marketing.
  • link an example of each in your blog
  • Be sure to check mobile, as 30 second videos are being touted as most effective in reaching on-the-go customers

Today's assignment:
  • Research on YouTube or Vimeo - a video on video marketing
    • Embed the video in your blog
    • Your comment - what was the key takeaway - most important point
  • Research online:
    • Find a hotel or business that is actively using video as a part of their digital landscape
      • Is it entertaining, engaging - how can your measure their effectiveness?
      • How does their video effort fit into their social media efforts?
        • Example - are they using snippets in Facebook, Twitter or other 
  • Which hotel brands are using video effectively?
    • Are the videos professionally produced or more 'social'?
  • Research - find an event that incorporates video, as a distribution method
    • Pre-event
    • During event
    • Post event
    • What other social media supports the video marketing?
  • Your opinion - is video a fad or an important channel?
    • Link to an article to support your opinion.
